At Man's Best Friends Dog Grooming Parlour, I believe a puppy's first grooming experiences should always be positive, gentle and enjoyable.
A gentle, gradual start
I recommend a minimum of three puppy introduction sessions before moving on to a full groom, although some puppies may need more.
Every puppy is different, so each session is tailored to their individual personality, confidence and comfort levels.
Introductions to bathing, drying, brushing, handling and grooming equipment are carried out slowly and gently, always at the puppy's own pace.
Always at your puppy's pace
There is no set expectation of what must be achieved during each visit. If a puppy becomes stressed or uncomfortable, I will stop. Sometimes this may mean ending the session early and arranging another visit.
I will also advise owners when their puppy is ready for any trimming or further grooming.
Pricing. Puppy introduction sessions start from £30. As your puppy grows and progresses towards a full groom, the price will gradually increase to reflect the additional grooming time and work involved.
